Top 3.

1. Dropkick Murphy's, Boston, St. Paddy's Day 2006
2. Green Day, Schenectady NY, 1997
3. Metallica, Dallas, 2000 (Not part of tour so they did all the old stuff, the other time I saw them in Boston was only so-so)

Red Hot Chilli Peppers on the Blood, Sugar, Sex & Magic tour. The two opening acts were Peral Jam followed by the Smashing Pumpkins, both of whom had just released their first CDs.

1) U2 - Slane Castle, Ireland 2001 - Best experience in my life.

2) Lollapalooza - 1992 - Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Ice Cube, Red Hot Chili Peppers - They also played some Mother Love Bone / Temple of the Dog stuff - kicked ass.

3) REM in 1995 - small bar called The Brewery. We were there to catch a local band, who ended up cancelling. Manager got on the mic and said "Don't leave, we have a backup plan." And fucking Michael Stipe walked out on stage. Couldn't have been more then 80 people in the place. They played for hours.

4) Phish, New Year's Even 1999, Big Cypress Seminole reservation in FLA. I've never bagged so many hippie chicks in a 2 day span.

5) Beck at Reynolds Coliseum in Raleigh when I was a frosh in college (96). We were crowd surfing and I got chucked over the security and gate and landed on stage. Beck was between songs and said - "Now that's one crazy mother fucker."

6) Just about every Aerosmith, Allman Brothers and Weezer show I've ever been to.

It was either this show or the New Years one the year after I knew a guy that got committed after this show for several months because he thought he was Jesus.

At the Green Day show mentioned above I went with alot of my school's hockey and football teams and there were a ton of 14-15 year old girls that when they threw up crowd surfing, my buddies tossed them some 20-30 feet. Never stopped the show though.

I would also add the Tragically Hip, 2001 in Albany, NY.

What the hell is wrong with REM you leopard-print foot stool? REM is classic. "Green" and "Document" were fantastic albums, up there with Joshua Tree by U2. I am pretty fond of Murmur too.

REM > Cansei de Ser Sexy or whatever the Portuguese are calling good music. Razz

Anything American > Portly Geese. Never said U2 was American - If I didn't know that when I saw them in Ireland, I might be as dumb as Fritoh.
