I plan on getting a Welsh Corgi when this one is trained. Officially she's my fiancee's dog (last year's B-day present), but I love the little thing too much. She's the fastest thing at the dog park. No other dog can come close to catching her once she lets going. Australlian shepperds maybe and a couple italian greyhounds try...till they get tired after 1 sprint.

Same with mine, well she may not be the fastest but she's always the last one still going, she has to have some mutant amount of energy.

Ok -- so almost 4 years it's out and I've never tried WoW. So, I bought the little $2 dvd today and thought 'what the hell'.

What server do all you folks play on that are on WoW. I tried searching for every EQ1 name I could remember..and nothing consistent ever came up..lol. You guys hate your EQ name so much?

Wow wore out pretty fast for a lot of people.

Unless you're high-end raiding... and frankly, its better in EQ in that regard.

I've played for about 4 hours tonight ...1-8 ...I don't think it's a BAD game by any means, but it's signifantly sub-par to EQ2. Perhaps when both of the games were released, it was better due to lack of bugs and so forth; however, in 2007 EQ2 is vastly superior to WoW in just about every regard. If you don't believe me, try starting as a new "Fae" race character on EQ2 ...it's incredible nowadays.

Of course, just like all the games today, they don't have the staying power that EQ1 had. I talk highly about EQ2, but I have no desire to play it anymore either. Frankly, I think people don't play EQ2 simply because they have in their minds that Blizzard is a better company than SOE ..lol.

BUT ANYWAY, it's entertaining for my boring summer. I just wish all of you would go somewhere new so I could start over again with everyone.....I miss the ventrilo and the folks, but there's no way I could raid anymore *sigh*.

Couple new games coming out soon though ...Starcraft II looks AMAZING (if you havn't seen the movie for that, go look). ...it's not an mmo, but still it looks good. "Gods and Heroes" looks like it might be a decent mmo.

And personally, I'm looking forward to "Star Trek Online" Smile The devs seem intelligent and methodical and I like their ideas so far. God knows the WORLD would love a good sci-fi mmo eventually.

What I meant was WoW is > EQ from 1-60 just dicking around levelling.

But, its not nearly as deep, not nearly as involved, not nearly as challenging, and, in the end, not nearly as satisfying.

But, yes, its fun to dick around with if you accept what it is - MMORPG-lite.

My first time levelling in EQ I enjoyed much more also.

But, I meant for the person that has no attention span, etc... WoW would work very well.

The Fae are gay, why would anyone suggest they play Fae?

Dammit, I played the Fae!

Now I'm trying my hands on Lords of the Rings: Online.

Gribiel, Guardian Dwarf on Elendilmir (or whatever the damned things called)
