I think that is by far the worst I have ever heard Joy Division play. |

There is not much in the way of available video. Their two seminal CDs "Unknown Pleasures" and "Closer" are now reissued and in enhanced audio. A Ian Curtis bio pic, "Control," has been released in Europe.
Joy Division was quite a bit like the Velvet Underground--short lived, but extremely influential. The Killers have tried to cover "shadow play" but it pales by the original.
There are more vids on youtube. I encourage you to check them out. Ian Curtis committed suicide on the eve of their first US tour in 1980. What could have been.... |
