Now, don't get me wrong -- I am NOT encouraging...in fact, I don't want anyone that's currently playing on Vazaelle to stop playing and move to the new 'legacy' servers and leave the guild hanging. Do you hear me?!

Now, that being said ...are there any other RETIRED folks contemplating a try on The Combine or The Sleeper? If so, which server? I doubt I'll go hard core (but you never know) ...but, I'd LOVE to see friendly faces!!!

The magic was never about tricks or loot. It was about the people you played with, the doing stupid shit because you've been grinding for 8 hours, and couldnt see straight, the competition when there actually was competition. Training people when dying was a bitch, breaking fear at level 50 even when you knew how to do it, Enjoying Velious when choices you made actually meant something in game.

I agree with you for the most part Mandaar. I would say that especially to those that have high hopes for Vanguard. That game is so utterly doomed it's actually funny ...there's no way it will live up to nostalgia ...and, at the moment, it's barely going to live up to 'standards', let alone nostalgia.

But, of course Mandaar, I think many are just wanting something new to do. Frankly, it's beyond my understanding how you guys can play the same game after 5 years. I mean, this will be entertaining for a couple of months because it will FEEL new....which is what people are drawn to it for I think.

I have no idea how Vanguard will play out. But, for those that wish to relive their early years of EQ ..they'll probably find that these "Progression" servers are going to be a lot closer to what they want than Vanguard.

Vanguard is like a cross between EQ,EQ2,Baldur's Gate, and Unreal.

Wow, vanguard, progression servers...I will play them all and then decide. So far nothing has outdone EQ, not even close. If something is better than EQ I will play that game because it is a video game and I would like to have the most fun I can during my online experience.

I have been thinking about coming back to EQ i just dont know if i want to do it this way for a fresh start or back to the old server i am too outdated to hang with yall anymore but would be nice to see you guys again we will see how it plays out hope you all are having great times ill post more later if yall wanna know what i been up too in the last year i was off.

hehe ..I'm up to level 13 so far on Sleeper (one more level for breeeeeeze).

I have to say, it's pretty enjoyable ...very much like it was in the beginning (just, people are less clueless overall and the game is less buggy). However, as far as difficulty is concerned ..it's definately roughing it ...I feel rich if I can keep over 30 plat in my bank ..hehe. The most expensive things on market are 200 plat

I look forward to watching some guild trying to break Fear / beat CT with old world gear.

im a lvl 10 sk on combine, its alot of fun and really brings back that something i been missin with eq for quite some time

Yeah, I got bored pretty much. Along with some of the fun things comes all the not so fun things. Good idea though it is not for me.

I had completely forgotten how annoying the lower end game is when there's other people playing at that level also.
