well, don't know if i'm totally retired from EQ...taking a break for now and seeing if i get the bug to play again. I may do the alt thing occasionally for a bit. Only time will tell though if Healinyou lives, and if i even play more consistantly with my plethera of alts.

, im still trying to figure out if i should come back. I miss raiding hardcore , but eq is too advance for me. So how goes the lore did they finaly put a stop to mayoung evil plans?

When we killed Mayong, he became a demi-god apparently. Or a minor God, I'm not sure which.

He yaps for ages after you kill him.

Mayong warns you before you kill him that he will be the victor no matter the outcome.

After he dies he spouts off about how he was right and we were wrong, and how he is now a god. He claims his minions are about to be unleashed upon the land.

Prophecy of Ro takes Mayongs legacy further. The end zone (Deathknell) is run by Ayonae Ro. She is non KoS to begin with but clearly under Mayong's corruptive influence somehow. Her minions (raid targets) are all 'torn' from Deminplane as the events unfold, emotes say as much.

The Serpents Spine - I have no idea what Mayong's influence in this expansion is. Perhaps he drove the Drakkin to corruption also.

The Buried Sea - There are undead minions wandering around most or all outdoor zones of the game, with lore/quest items with Mayong's name on them. Clearly he is trying to turn the world evil, or something.

This is all merely from the top of my head as I understand the LORE. I may be partly or wholly wrong.

i think we need a lesson in lore from Rainmare.he's been out of game what 2-3 year's and probably still know's more lore than any of us.

good old rain and JW havent seen those 2 in a while. I know whats to come of Mayong but i cant share any of it yet or id push this lore some you will just have to wait lil more longer

It is true. As you will fine out, I did not actually quit EQ, but was turned into Mayong.
