Please do not reply, I DO NOT want to start a political debate.

I simply believe that... it's time. I can only hope other Americans believe the same.

If this thread is removed, I can understand.

You don't want people to reply? So you want to speak your opinion and not have others speak theirs? That's ummm not too democratic.

This is an AD forum, and I figured those who visited here didn't want to get involved in a political debate. Maybe I'm wrong?

In other words, check out the website, and make your own decisions based on it.

I'm a big Duncan Hunter fan myself. Looks like they share many political views. Unfortunatly the Ron Paul's and Duncan Hunter's will be washed aside to the Giuliani's, Clinton's, Romney's, and Obama fund-raising machines.

God save us from national health care.

I don't even know how to reply to that.

I do know tho that if I were to go back I'd have free health care no questions asked.

Lol I guess people replied...

We have to unite under one candidate. Hopefully Ron Paul and Duncan Hunter realize this. This is so much more important than you can ever imagine.

Hunter seems like a good man, however his lack of stance on privacy, individual liberty, and RFID tracking technology deters me from embracing him.

I want to see the Patriot Act gone and Habeus Corpus reinstated. What's Hunter's stance on restoring our Constitution? Despite my 100% clean criminal record, I am afraid of my current government more than any country.

Thank you Gribel for reminding me to research Duncan Hunter. We will see how things play out in the coming few months.

If America gets educated and wants the CFR/Illuminati out of the White House, all the bigshots' campaign $$$ will mean nothing.

National healthcare may seem ideal, and it would be wonderful if everyone had healthcare benefits to get the care that they need, but National health care in no ways will be free. There are well over 50 Million people without health care, roughly 20% or this country population. Currently for my family I pay nearly $150 a paycheck for medical, dental, and vision. If we were to provide free health care for the entire population of these United States, the funds have to come somewhere, most assuredly, in the form either higher taxes or additional taxes. If the result of National Health care means im not paying more than the $150 nut im paying now, im all for it, but if it means another dollar out of my pocket i will pass.

Would you trust an unpopular president's media to elect your next president?

If you think that Fox, MSNBC, CNN, etc are telling you the truth...

Some european countries spend something like 50% of their paychecks for taxes but have free health care. It's a tradeoff.

Either make this a socialist country and watch us fall into the mediocrity we're already becoming mired in, or don't.

You can't have it both ways.

The problem with health care in the US is that it is super inflated. The cost for drugs, equipment, and the salary are just totally insane. It's a big machine to make truckloads of money, the insurance companies have to pay those prices and to stay above the water they have to select who they insure to make the most money out of it. Then you get stuck with people who cannot get insured anywhere because of what ever problem they have and they cannot afford to pay for the treatment.

The whole capitalist thing is awesome when you are at the top, but as in all thing you need a balance and that means there are people at the bottom who have to suffer for it. It always amaze me how the Americans are so politically correct and really really CARE, but when it comes down to it "oh! no no! don't touch my paycheck".

You have this misconception about socializing the health care system that it will bring down the quality of the treatment you could get. It's not the case if it's done properly, but you need the government to make it happen and i am pretty sure the nice pay off those smooth talking politicians are receiving from the pharmasutical companies will make sure it doesn't.

Oh wait, the TV doesn't tell you that so I guess I'm wrong. Please open wide during the newscast to make sure you can get as much as possible shoved down in there.

Take care my ignorant American friends.

It's not that we have a misconception of worse care...
It is that those that will benefit from free health care the most are the ones not heard. AKA the poorest of people. The only "tragic" news we hear about in the news are about kids that go through chemo and it costs them tons of money, or other such things. You don't hear about the medical problems of the poor because the govt sweeps it under the carpet.

Think of it in terms of EQ...The tank is poor on health, and a ranger. Cleric uses his Divine Arbitration AA and it balances everyone's health. The Tank and Ranger benefit from this...the other 4 LOSE on this. This is what capitalist America is worried about when looking at making public healthcare "free". 50% from someone's paycheck that makes $5000 is more than from someone that makes $500. In the end, it all comes down to money.

This is one thing I agree with you Xorne. I don't agree with French Canadians much either!

I'm all for National Healthcare and in the future would love to see it made happen.

Blatantly stolen from Wikipedia: "Canadians spend about 55% of what Americans spend on health care and have longer life expectancy, and lower infant mortality rates. Many Americans have access to quality health care. All Canadians have access to similar care at a considerably lower cost." Canadians pay 9% of GDP to insure 100% of citizens, compared with 14% of GDP to insure 85% of Americans.

Doctor becaome a profession here that is lionized as a way to make serious money. How did it become something where you make moderate money, but the doctors are still willing to KILL THEMSELVES to become doctors?

I think that is the key cultural difference.

Human beings are pretty much the same, so I'm curious how canadians are conditioned to altruism.

Or is it insurance runaway that is better stifled there? The legal system which isn't allowed to run amok?

I think our medical care is better at the high end, but Canada CERTAINLY has the best care in North America from top to bottom. Which is fairly attractive.

I used to live in Michigan. And I never really understood the mystique of canadians. There was just some way of looking at life they had, even when a gallon of milk cost an eighth of what they would bring home from work that day. Life just seemed to be about something else that was above it all.

Maybe that's why they don't have a society based on such aggressive compartmentalism (except in the big cities).
