b) tells me only some of the truth to protect me.
c) tells me only some of the truth to protect them.

Argue all you want. There is only one right answer per question.

Warning: This thread was derailed by comments that pointed out the obvious. This was meant to be biased, and they used that meaningless fact about my experiment to denounce it. Not to mention Teklan likes getting under my skin, how ya like it there bro? Smile Bias is all around you, yet you expect me to be free of it? Hah! I was not doing demographics here, therefore I don't have to play by those rules. I was trying to speak to your hearts.
I welcome disagreements if they are more than a sentence-long denouncement of my experiment. While I enjoyed the ranting, I would've rather heard more posts like Healinyou's and Auger's. What I see is people get really on the defensive when their "right to remain neutral" is being threatened. I learned what I needed to over the few opportunities I've had to stir the shit. Was fun Smile

Answers: a, c, d, b, c, c, a, a, b, c

I expected a different type of stupid response from teklan. I was right about the stupid part.

It's really unfortunate that people think of this as biased, and not an eye-opener.. or at least humorous.

And Teklan, seriously, you really are pathetic sometimes. FU <insert word mandaar won't let me use>.

so when you ask OPINIONATED questions and you say theres only 1 right answer....i'm stupid?

"What do you think..."
"Freedom to me is..."
"What is news to you..."
"What list of crimes do you..."

There is no reason to name call me. I pointed out the bias in your statements and people obviously agreed.

disclaimer: To avoid a useless follow up post to this, i'm not saying ALL questions are opinionated. About half of them are.

Dear tekkiepoo,

Americans should be biased towards freedom... hence the bias in my sarcastic quiz.

If all you can see is the bias, you are missing the point.

Like I told you before, if you dish out your verbal diarrhea you better be ready to take it right back.

This was obviously a mistake. My intention was to provoke you all to think about what's happening and what you hold dear to you. Instead you all chose to call me biased.

As hurtful as it seems to me, I guess what you hold dear is very different than what I hold dear.

I must have been raised "wrong" because as a child I loved the fact that our Constitution protected us from oppression and unfair government. Seeing this document being referred to as "a god damned piece of paper" by our current President absolutely hurts me. Here's the actual quotes:

Bush on the Constitution: Its just a goddamned piece of paper
By By DOUG THOMPSON

Last month, Republican Congressional leaders filed into the Oval Office
to meet with President George W. Bush and talk about renewing the
controversial USA Patriot Act.

Several provisions of the act, passed in the shell shocked period
immediately following the 9/11 terrorist attacks, caused enough anger that
liberal groups like the American Civil Liberties Union had joined forces
with prominent conservatives like Phyllis Schlafly and Bob Barr to
oppose renewal.

GOP leaders told Bush that his hardcore push to renew the more onerous
provisions of the act could further alienate conservatives still mad at
the President from his botched attempt to nominate White House Counsel
Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court.

I dont give a goddamn, Bush retorted. Im the President
and the Commander-in-Chief. Do it my way.

Mr. President, one aide in the meeting said. There is a valid
case that the provisions in this law undermine the Constitution.

Stop throwing the Constitution in my face, Bush screamed back.
Its just a goddamned piece of paper!

Ive talked to three people present for the meeting that day and they
all confirm that the President of the United States called the
Constitution a goddamned piece of paper.

And, to the Bush Administration, the Constitution of the United States
is little more than toilet paper stained from all the shit that this
group of power-mad despots have dumped on the freedoms that goddamned
piece of paper used to guarantee.

Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, while still White House counsel,
wrote that the Constitution is an outdated document.

Put aside, for a moment, political affiliation or personal beliefs. It
doesnt matter if you are a Democrat, Republican or Independent. It
doesnt matter if you support the invasion or Iraq or not. Despite our
differences, the Constitution has stood for two centuries as the
defining document of our government, the final source to determine in the
end if something is legal or right.

Every federal official - including the President - who takes an oath of
office swears to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United
States.

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia says he cringes when someone calls
the Constitution a living document.

Oh, how I hate the phrase we have a living document,
Scalia says. We now have a Constitution that means whatever we want it
to mean. The Constitution is not a living organism, for Petes
sake.

As a judge, Scalia says, I dont have to prove that the
Constitution is perfect; I just have to prove that its better than anything
else.

President Bush has proposed seven amendments to the Constitution over
the last five years, including a controversial amendment to define
marriage as a union between a man and woman. Members of Congress have
proposed some 11,000 amendments over the last decade, ranging from
repeal of the right to bear arms to a Constitutional ban on abortion.

Scalia says the danger of tinkering with the Constitution comes from a
loss of rights.

We can take away rights just as we can grant new ones, Scalia
warns. Dont think that its a one-way street.

And dont buy the White House hype that the USA Patriot Act is a
necessary tool to fight terrorism. It is a dangerous law that infringes on
the rights of every American citizen and, as one brave aide told
President Bush, something that undermines the Constitution of the United
States.

But why should Bush care? After all, the Constitution is just a
goddamned piece of paper.

Why do you all want to ignore this? Why are your needs more important than your country and its future? If I cared only about my needs I wouldn't go through the absolute soul-wrenching pain it takes to try and open your eyes.

I try to never get into political disputes because I just get upset and upset others. But, down the hatch.

We are going to be a second rate nation within 100 years. China will be the world power and we will pretend to be it's big brother. We will be the last to know what everyone else already knows. We're second rate. Not because of the Government, but because we are soft. Because we have no national will. We're the guy everyone loves to hate. We are loud, obnoxious, and we will cry if you get mad at us.

The truth is that everything carp posted is correct like it or not. You can call it biased. It is. But, that makes it no less true.

The constitution is the basis of our Legal system at a very high level. It's how we run. Or it used to be.

The problem isn't the president, nor is it the legislature it's us. We are the people that have turned the news into pussy entertainment, our politicians into idiots with good haircuts and truly disgusting agendas, and the view of the world to one of amusement when considering us (if not far worse).

It will take a MASSIVE catastrophe to turn this around. We are fat, lazy and largely unintelligent. We're essentially cows. We are too busy grazing to be bothered with what the corrupt are doing.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

i honestly don't see why people are getting snippy about this. All he said was it was bias'd....which the original poster has since said it was. No reason for personal attacks folks. That is human nature to see things differently. Not everyone sees the same thing the same way. Different beliefs. different up brings. THAT IS THE FREEDOM. To be able to see interpret and believe what we want. Yes some things are F'd up with the country and government, but It will always be that way. I doubt anyone can find any government of any type that someone can't find something F'd up with it. Can we do something to fix it. Yes and No. You can vote for the person or persons you personally feel will do the best to fix it to the way you like it. But remember someone else that believes what you believe is wrong will be trying to do the same. The people with the most votes on their side win....guess what. That's democracy.

We are far from a democracy. If we were, the laws that get voted in by the people would not get repealed by the Feds.

If we were a democracy, we would've been able to vote out the Patriot Act.

I wish you all were as obsessed about your country's future as you are about the bias in my post (and mfing britney). Sorry I actually give a crap about people.

Carp, we are a democracy.

We fail in 2 places.

1. WE elect people that are filled with mutton.

2. WE as a large group, do nothing when they do something outrageous.

If we made sufficient noise, change would happen.

After looking it up, it appears we are a "Representative Democracy". I stand behind my belief that we are not at all a "pure democracy".

A pure democracy does not let gov't make new laws behind your back.

It's hard to consider this a democracy when the BIASED media only covers select candidates? If you want REAL BIAS, CHECK OUT CNN, FOX, CBS, and MSNBC, and give me some freakin credit for actually caring.

Voter apathy has ruled our thoughts on the political process for years. Guess what? As a whole we're apathetic because we don't feel represented.

We find ourselves voting for "lesser of two evils". We let evil men and women represent us. Would you all like that to change? Or is evil "cool" now?

You know what evil likes to do? Make a lot of friends and form powerful groups.

It would be nice to see truly good men (like G. Edward Griffin) gain as much of a following as those who have promoted such apathy.

How can I stay silent when the "silent complacent majority" has "democratically" voted in truly evil people?

Here's a link to some G. Edward Griffin material. This is so relevant even though it was written in Dec. 2001. Please give this man the same opportunity you all gave FOX, CBS, etc and check him out

I don't like loaded questions. I choose none of the above for most of them.

Question 8 particularly disturbs me. I don't understand why you, or any one person, gets to decide which of those are "crimes" and thus punishable by the government.

Guess it was too much truth and not enough humor for you.
