Shamelessly hijacked form another board:

I think there is somethign to this idea, I started playing on Vallox Zek years ago and enjoyed the PvP part of the game until it became greifing with corpse camping, bind rushing and what not. There was a point when I personally decided I had enough of it and transfered out. If there was a way where the can enhance PvP on all servers, I am all for it. Even more so if it brings in a larger player base like many think it will. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/dcarrie1007

This idea is almost exactly what they have in WoW. It is a very popular aspect to the game. _________________

PvP in EQ is like sardines in a peanut butter sandwich. It's just not going to work for most people. |

Not true.
In Wraiths of Discord we would have a "fun" night and the raid went to the arena. We were set up in teams (groups). This was from randoming or some sort of fairness (like picking your teams 1 at a time for captains of groups). Then it was a group free for all - each team versus each other. It was tons of fun, and I don't think one person didn't like it. |

We used to do a random fight night in one of my previous guilds too. Prizes and everything.
It was a total blast, but does need to be mediated over. And actual events (3v3 or 5v5) set up.
It's a ton of fun. Maybe something we could do on a Friday night _________________

Hehe, we used to do stuff like this while we were on our way to raid Razorthorn or something in Devestation we would sit and wait for people as they ran through the Freeport Arena and would end up a free for all. Ahh sweet memories... _________________
