|
|
In the spirit of High Fidelity, because all good things come in fives, and because I'm bored as shit and its 130 degrees here today, how about the five albums you would want with you on your ipod if stranded on a desert island. What would you and your friend Wilson listen to?
1. R.E.M. Reckoning. I would need at least one REM album. This one is their masterpiece to me, but Murmur is a close second.
2. Richard and Linda Thompson. Shoot Out the Lights. If you have to ask, you don't know. Allmusic him.
3. Joy Division. Unknown Pleasures. Some prefer Closer. Either one would be perfect for pulling your teeth out with an ice skate.
4. Led Zepplin. IV. Derivative, but no one every derived American blues better.
5. The Clash. London Calling. This is kinda of cheating, as its a double album. I didn't clean nearly as many stems and seeds on the fold-out lp sleeve as, say, Live at Filmore East, but I STILL listen to this.
That's mine. What's yours? I found five really, really hard. I missed whole genres I love.

hmmmm lets see
NOFX - White Trash, 2 Heebs, and a Bean
Outkast - Southernplayalisticcadilacfunymusic
Bob Marley - Legend
Dropkick Murphy's - Live in Boston on Saint Patricks
Butthole Surfers - Independent Worm Saloon
I'm sure there are some that I'd probably rather have but that's what comes to mind atm. |

Hmm
Pink Floyd - Either the Wall, Dark Side of the Moon, Momentary Lapse of reason, or Wish you were here.
Aerosmith- Either Aerosmith, or Get Your Wings or Toys in the Attic
Metallica - Black Album
Jethro Tull - Aqualung
David Bowie - Hunky Dory
So much more that I could have put here, but this will do. _________________

Ok this was really a tough one but I think i have my list...here goes.
1. David Hasselhoff - Hooked on a Feeling
2. Billy Ray Cyrus - Some Gave All
3. Leonard Nimoy - Mr. Spock's Music From Outer Space
4. Michael Bolton - Time, Love, and Tenderness
(close second would be Kenny G - Classics in the Key of G)
And last but certainly not least...
5. Regis Philbin - It's Time For Regis
Now if that selection of music doesn't drive you to find a way off the island then nothing will. |

1- TOOL; Aenima
2- Sepultura; Chaos AD
3- Metallica; And Justice For All

Being a Rogue Extraordinaire I would probably sneak in some Iron Maiden and Pantera as well! |

Ozzy Osbourne - Prince of Darkness
Ozzy Osbourne - Black Rain
Between Van Halen - Van Halen and AC/DC - The Razor's Edge, although about any AC/DC album works. |
