So last night during the podcast, they announced the next expansion, EverQuest: Underfoot. They said it will have 12-15 zones (so similar in size to SoD), and will also include a FREE clump of bonus content/zones in April or so.

SOE is slowly but surely posting segments from the Podcast on Youtube, and I'm sure the Underfoot trailer video will pop up there soon today.

Looks cool... we'll see how their new concepts pan out.

I think the part about twice as many weapons as any other expansion should make people happy provided they are actually diverse enough to warrant it... and <gasp> maybe with that many we will actually get weapons to drop from raid mobs!

ps. I am so happy about no level increase. Dunno about anyone else but I think it's a pointless timesink. This news also makes getting SOD runes even more important since those spells won't all be obsolete.

We still have over 4 months to get completely setup for the next expansion... we're gonna rock it Smile
